Sad, After a Year of Waiting to Leave, Nurul Hidayah is Threatened with Failure to Return to Malaysia

Now, Nurul Hidayah has to wait again for the process she has gone through. The agreement was during mediation with P3MI. Nurul Hidayah will depart when Malaysia opens up to accepting more migrant workers. It's really sad, I've waited a year, then I have to wait again.

At that time, Nurul Hidayah came to the BP2MI Mataram office with Fauzan, one of the team from the ADBMI Foundation for a mediation agenda with P3MI and the broker who had promised him to go abroad 1 (one) year ago. She (Nurul Hidayah) wanted an answer regarding the actions of the broker and P3MI who always promised him to go abroad, but for 1 (one) year, he never left.

Sad, After a Year of Waiting to Leave, Nurul Hidayah is Threatened with Failure to Return to Malaysia

adbmi.org – So sad is the fate of Nurul Hidayah. She is threatened with failure to go as an Indonesian migrant worker to Malaysia. His waiting all this time did not produce good results.

A year ago, Nurul Hidayah tried his luck in registering as a migrant worker again after previously migrating to Brunei Darussalam as a migrant worker.

Nurul Hidayah tried to remain strong while listening to the explanation from Kabul Hanafi, the person in charge of PT Primadaya Pandu Karya Mataram Branch. She has high hopes of being able to go to the neighboring country of Malaysia to earn a living as a PMI.

Nurul Hidayah is a resident of Lepak village, East Sakra District, East Lombok Regency and is threatened with failure to leave due to a convoluted and unclear process.

Nurul Hidayah has been waiting for almost a year, she was recruited by a field worker (PL) from PT Primadaya Pandu Karya named Ismaini from Central Lombok.

At the UPT BP3MI Mataram office, Nurul Hidayah said he would withdraw his files and abandon his intention to go to Malaysia.

"If I haven't left before the end of the year, I don't want to go anymore," he explained during mediation with P3MI on Friday, April 19 2024.

Nurul Hidayah, who was accompanied by the Indonesian Migrant Workers Advocacy Foundation (ADBMI), was disappointed with the performance of PL PT Primadaya Pandu Karya.

Nurul Hidayah also explained that she had asked to withdraw the file, but he was asked to redeem it.

"Meanwhile, I use personal money with a nominal value of 6 million for all processes. "Starting from passports, medical and other things, it's 6 million," stressed the PMI candidate.

Meanwhile, Fauzan, as the recipient of the mandate from ADBMI to resolve the case, also felt concerned. The Nurul Hidayah process can take up to a year, or even more.

"Meanwhile, according to the law, PMI candidates must wait a maximum of three months for the departure process after all the documents are submitted. "How come it's taking so long," explained Fauzan.

Fauzan asked for clarification from PL PT Primadaya Pandu Karya regarding the 6 million fee given by prospective migrant workers. There is no definite explanation as to what these costs will be used for.

Fauzan feels that PL is playing with PMI candidates. Asking for money by promising a quick departure.

“This six million must be explained clearly. "Don't let there be any bad indications," explained Fauzan.

BP3MI Mataram also asked PL for information regarding the costs that had been incurred by PMI candidates for what purpose. After explaining it, there is a difference of almost 2.5 million.

Meanwhile, Ismaini as PL revealed that the difference in costs included transportation for him to carry out other processes.

“I went to the Manpower and Transmigration Department not once or twice to take care of the files. "I need money too," she said.
