LSD and Telagawaru Village Government Collaborate with BP3MI NTB to Encourage Healthy Migration in the Community

adbmi.org - The Telagawaru Village Social Institution (LSD) and the Telagawaru village government are working together with the Indonesian Migrant Workers Protection and Service Center (BP3MI) of West Nusa Tenggara to encourage people to migrate in a healthy manner.

The main objective of this collaboration is to create a village community that can understand the process of placing Indonesian migrant workers properly and correctly.

Cooperation with BP3MI NTB is a mandate of Law Number 18 of 2017 concerning the Protection and Empowerment of Indonesian Migrant Workers and their Families.

Junaidi, as the head of the LSD of Telagawaru Village, said in his speech that one of the duties and functions of the LSD is to encourage people to migrate in a healthy way.

He also said that documented migration would have a positive impact on prospective migrant workers, migrant workers and their families.

"This is one form of our contribution to society. We encourage people to migrate healthily and with documentation," explained Junaidi as the head of LSD Telagawaru, 07/08/2024.

The chairman, who is familiarly called Jun, also assessed that many people were leaving to become PMI in an unprocedural manner because they did not understand the placement mechanism.

"Therefore, it is necessary for us together to understand the placement mechanism while we transmit it to the community," said Jun.
