From the Ruins of the Earthquake, ABA Kindergarten Rises Together with ADBMI and P2P Japan

In 2018, a devastating earthquake struck the area where ABA Kindergarten was located, a kindergarten built based on a waqf from a congregant named Ishak who donated 4 ares of land. This disaster destroyed many educational facilities, including ABA Kindergarten. However, hope has resurfaced through the collaboration between the ADBMI Foundation and P2P from Japan in the post-earthquake recovery program.

adbmi.org - Our movement (ADBMI Foundation), widely known for its efforts in supporting migrant worker communities, has formed a strategic partnership with P2P, a Japanese organization, to restore educational facilities affected by the earthquake. In this program, ABA Kindergarten was selected to be rebuilt, demonstrating the strong commitment of both organizations to the education and welfare of children in the affected areas.

The reconstruction of ABA Kindergarten began in 2018 and in a short time, the school was operational. The joint efforts of ADBMI and P2P not only focused on physical construction, but also on improving the quality of education and care for migrant workers' children.

With learning facilities that are now fairly complete, ABA Kindergarten is expected to become a solid place of support for children whose parents work abroad.

TK ABA is a kindergarten that is different from other kindergartens. Not only providing basic education, TK ABA has special programs designed to meet the needs of migrant workers' children.

The school provides a place of healing and recreation for children, helping them cope with the longing and emptiness left by family members working abroad. In addition, ABA Kindergarten also serves as a learning center for parents.

They can attend parenting classes and gain knowledge about good nutrition for children, in an effort to overcome the problem of stunting that is starting to occur in society.

The main issues faced by migrant workers' children, such as education and care, are now receiving special attention. ABA Kindergarten provides an environment that supports the growth and development of children as a whole.

This school is not only a learning space for children, but also a place where parents learn how to provide good nutrition and effective parenting practices.

Although it has only been operating for less than a semester, the development of ABA Kindergarten has shown a lot of progress. In an effort to introduce itself and show its competitive ability, ABA Kindergarten actively participates in the August 17th competition at the sub-district level.

This participation aims to introduce ABA Kindergarten as a newcomer who is able to compete with other kindergartens and early childhood education institutions.

The collaboration between the ADBMI Foundation and P2P from Japan has brought significant positive impacts, not only physically rebuilding the ABA Kindergarten, but also strengthening the foundation of education and welfare for migrant workers' children.

Great hopes accompany every step taken, for the sake of a better future for the young generation in the area.
