Chair of the Advocacy for Indonesian Migrant Workers (ADBMI Foundation), Roma Hidayat, expressed a statement full of pros and cons. The reason is, he considers that D - 3 will end, East Lombok will still be a sender of Indonesian Migrant Workers.

Data from the Indonesian Migrant Worker Protection Agency (BP2MI) records that around 168 thousand Indonesian migrant workers departed from January to June 2024. Meanwhile, East Lombok is in the top 5 PMI suppliers in Indonesia.

"Therefore, we need to harmonize existing regulations so that we reduce them to the village level. Villages are a source of Indonesian migrant workers," he explained.
